Electrical Engineer Jobs Summary:

Charged AE is looking for a professional and driven Electrical Engineer to join our team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of electric vehicle charging stations. This role necessitates a solid technical background, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and an enthusiasm for sustainable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities:

1. Site Assessment and Planning:

• Conduct a site study to determine prospective EV charger installation locations.
• Examine the existing electrical infrastructure to determine whether changes or modifications are required.
• Schedule jobs and site visits based on management directions.

2. Design and Specifications:

• Create electrical designs for EV charging stations, including wiring, circuit protection, and grounding.
• Choose appropriate EV charging equipment and components based on project specifications and industry norms.
• Maintain compliance with local electrical codes, laws, and safety standards.

3. Project Management:

• Oversee the installation process, working with other specialists like civil engineers, contractors, and utility companies.
• Create project deadlines, budgets, and resource planning to ensure a timely and cost-effective project completion.
• Provide a thorough scope of task, risk assessment, and method statement as needed.

4. Installation and Test:

• Supervise or participate in the installation of electric vehicle charging stations.
• Conduct electrical testing and commissioning to ensure that chargers are running properly and safely.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that happen during the installation.

5. Maintenance and Support:

• Develop maintenance schedules and procedures for ongoing operation of EV chargers.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and users on the operation and maintenance of chargers.
• Address and resolve operational issues or malfunctions post-installation.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and test reports.
• Maintain records of installations, maintenance activities, and any modifications or upgrades.
• Generate reports summarizing project progress and outcomes for internal use and clients.

7. Research and development:

• Keep up with the latest developments in EV charging technology and industry trends.
• Innovate and improve existing installation procedures and equipment.
• Contribute to the development of new products and solutions for EV charging infrastructure.

8. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure that all installations conform with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Consult with regulatory organizations to secure the appropriate permits and approvals.

Provide consulting services to help clients make informed decisions about their EV charging infrastructure.

10. Sustainable and efficient:

11. Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Valid UAE driver’s license is required.
• Minimum of three years of expertise in electrical engineering, preferably with EV charging or low-voltage systems.
• A thorough awareness of UAE electrical rules, standards, and safety requirements.
• Proficient in electrical design tools and software.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project management and organizing skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to operate both independently and collectively.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
