Job Role: Field Services Engineer – Heavy Duty Gas Turbine

As a Field Services Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining, inspecting, and commissioning Frame 5, 6, 7 & 9 Heavy Duty Gas Turbines. This position involves field operations, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal performance of turbine systems at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct major inspections of HDGT machines.
• Perform borescope inspection and laser alignment.
• Execute equipment start-up, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Carry out water wash procedures and system flushing for lube oil and cooling water.
• Manage pre-commissioning and commissioning of critical systems such as fuel gas, air system, starting packages, and oil console.
• Interpret engineering drawings and mark up piping modifications.
• Collaborate with Instrumentation Engineers for installation, calibration, and setup of electrical instrumentation.
• Perform geometric dimensional checks, skid leveling, and foundation alignment.
• Oversee installation of auxiliary systems including ducts, coolers, interconnecting piping, and oil flushing activities.
• Ensure proper installation of gas piping, inlet systems, and exhaust systems according to BH and vendor specifications.
• Work according to safety protocols including Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.

Qualifications Required

• Technical degree in engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience working with Heavy Duty Gas Turbines.
• Strong background in installation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
